Massive anxiety over an awkward paragraph will worry me for days. I delete it. Then I replace it, change it and shift sentences around. Have lunch, a panic attack, four double-shot flat whites and a Red Bull, four cigarettes, and go back to the paragraph. I’ll go to the thesaurus for solace, and jumble around with words for my paragraph. It’s important to be concerned over the writing. If it’s not pushing you to the edge of sanity, the reader won’t be pushed to read it.
